From tadpoles to frogs!

For class collective worship this week we went into our grounds to experience awe and wonder. When we came back after half term we saw that our tadpoles had turned into froglets/ frogs and some were jumping around outside the container (there was a plank of wood left for them to climb out post transformation). We thought it would be kind to release our now frogs back into their natural habitat and watch them swim freely around our school pond. It was a wonderful moment. The children asked to sing 5 Little a Speckled frogs once more and we sung to the frogs as they swam away from our container. We have been learning this week the importance of our role as humans to take care for animals and our environment and thinking about how we need to care for them to be healthy.
