Well the snow came down thick and fast this morning before school. Reception adapted their planning to make room for a snow experience and went out to explore all about snow!
We found it fascinating looking at our footprints in the snow and leaving a footprint trail. Nathan tried to see how many of his feet he could fit in to Miss Mason’s Ugg boot foot print- 1 and a half feet-wow!
Jayden, Xeriah and Tommy all showed great team work when the snow ball that Xeriah was rolling “got too heavy” to move by herself as it was getting bigger. The boys leapt in to action to help Xeriah keep rolling the snowball to make it bigger and bigger.
George, Max and Grace Douglas all lined up and had a competition of who could throw the snowball the furthest. They used the barrier in the playground as their starting line and did a count down. George threw the furthest every time and said “my daddy taught me how to throw really far! I can throw the furthest”.
Lots of children all described the snow as they felt it in their hands, it was freezing/ cold/ wet/ icy… can you think of any other adjectives (to describing words) to describe snow?
